Frequently asked questions
Which devices does Foulée run on?
On iPhone with iOS 26 or later, and on Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later. If you have a Garmin watch, Foulée's Connect IQ app installs from the Garmin store, and Garmin Connect also brings your steps and workouts into Health.
Is Foulée free?
Yes, Foulée is free on the App Store, and so is its Connect IQ app.
Do I need an account?
No. Foulée has no account and no server: your data stays on your iPhone, your watch and in the Health app.
Is Foulée available in other languages?
Foulée speaks English and French. When your iPhone is set to English, the app, the watch, the widgets and the notifications are in English too.
Why does Foulée ask for access to Health?
Your streak, your steps, your activity minutes and your workouts come from Health. Foulée also saves your workouts and your water there, if you allow it. You can review these permissions at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Foulée.
What counts for my streak?
A day counts when your activity minutes reach your activity goal, set in Settings › Goals. Your steps don't count towards it, and every activity counts, walk or run. A day you didn't tick in Settings › Schedule › Active days never breaks your streak.
My minutes don't match the Fitness app.
Foulée keeps the larger of two numbers: your exercise minutes in Health, or the length of the workouts you recorded. A walk counted only in steps gives no minutes: for it to count, start a workout in Foulée or on your watch.
My steps don't match my watch.
Foulée reads your steps from Health, which picks between your iPhone and your watches in the order of its sources. To change it: Health › Browse › Activity › Steps › Data Sources & Access › Edit, then move your watch to the top.
How does Foulée know whether I walk or run?
You choose Walk, Run or Both in Settings › Goals › Activity. With Both, Foulée recognises the walking and running stretches on its own, with the motion sensors. When in doubt, it counts a walk.
My widget is out of date.
Widgets update every 10 minutes between 8 am and 8 pm, within the limit iOS gives them, and after each workout or glass of water. Open Foulée: all your widgets update straight away.
Does the Apple Watch app work without an iPhone?
You need the iPhone app: it sends your streak, your goals and your settings to the watch. Once the watch is synced, you can start a workout from your wrist without your iPhone. If the watch shows “Open Foulée on your iPhone to sync”, do so with the watch nearby.
My glasses of water aren't saved.
Foulée writes your water to Health. If the Hydration card shows “Allow water in Health to count your glasses”, tap Open Health and allow Foulée to write water.
I no longer get reminders.
The workout reminder comes 10 minutes before your time window starts (Settings › Schedule), and only on active days. If nothing comes, open Settings in Foulée (the gear on its main screen), then Notifications: the page tells you whether iOS blocks Foulée's notifications, and how to turn them back on.
How do I delete my data?
Your settings stay on your iPhone and go with the app when you delete it. Your workouts and your water are in Health: they stay there after you delete the app, and you manage them from the Health app.
